The challenge
Managing clients, quotes and services with loose spreadsheets and disconnected tools wastes time and data. A single place was needed to build a proposal, send it and then charge for the service on a recurring basis.
How I solved it
- I built it inside WordPress. It is a custom plugin that works in the admin panel that already exists, without adding another application to maintain.
- Clients and services entered only once. A client base and a service catalog feed each quote, and the history of clients and quotes stays in one place.
- Professionally designed quotes, as PDF. They come out ready to export and can be sent by email automatically.
- Recurring billing for clients. The plugin also handles monthly payments, so what is sold keeps being charged without setting it up again each time.
